Rocco Bove and Andrea Ponti win the Citywire Deutschland’s Best Fund Manager Award 2022 with KIS Bond Plus

Last 5th October at the Citywire Deutschland Awards 2022, Rocco Bove, Head of Fixed Income, and Andrea Ponti, Senior Portfolio Manager, won the title of Best Fund Manager in the Bonds – Global High Yield category with KIS Bond Plus.

Furthermore, in September, Bove and Ponti were the only Italian among the top-20 best 5-year high yield bond managers according to Citywire Italia (109 funds led by 166 managers), ranking 4th (read the article).

The new recognition is added to the other recent successes of the KIS Bond Plus product which reached ten years of track record last December: the Morningstar 5 Stars, the prestigious Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards Switzerland 2022 and the UCITS Hedge Fund Awards for the best 10-year performance in the Absolute Return Bonds category

The Citywire Deutschland Awards 2022, at their seventh edition, reward the most outstanding fund managers and asset management companies among the twelve categories under exam. Specifically, Citywire’s database analyzes and evaluates over 16,000 fund managers from over 40 countries whose products are registered for sale in Germany. Completing the analysis process there is Citywire Group rating, a quantitative assessment methodology recognized by AKG Actuaries & Consultants.

Methodology

The “Best Fund Manager – Deutschland” honors managers who achieved the highest risk-adjusted performance in a specific sector, in the three-year period ending June 30, 2022 with reference to products marketable in Germany.

The valuation methodology is based on quantitative data and on the following selection criteria: the manager’s experience (at least 3 years), the track record (at least 7 years), the outperformance compared to the reference benchmark, the AUM under management, together with the rating of the company’s fund managers.
